Join Vestas a Technical Documentation Translator.
Service LAT is responsible for ensuring the best performance possible of wind turbines in the LAT Region.
The position will report to the relevant Service department in each country and in dotted line to the Documentation Coordinator in Service LAT – ROE.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the translation of technical documentation related with service procedures and turbine technology. Translation will be bidirectional between English and the local language.
- Functions included, but not limited to:
- Direct and inverse translation of documents
- Revise, edit and proofread documents translated by an external translation agency
- Handle the ordering of translations to external translations agencies
- Coordinate and follow-up the translation process for the country
- Update and maintain the terminology database for the local language
- Occasionally provide linguistic advice for creation of technical documentation
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Translation and Interpreting
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Local Language (Portuguese and Spanish)
- knowledge and usage of MS-Office package
- Proficient usage of professional translation tools (CAT Tools)
- Experience in translating technical documentation (desirable, but not mandatory)
