Purpose of the job

We're looking for a Partnership Development Manager in the Southern Cone of South America to join our team and help make partnerships a reality for our wholly-owned premium brands and blue chip clients in financial services, travel, retail, technology and the media.

Currently reporting directly to Vice President of Partnerships – Americas, the role of the Partnership Development Manager (PDM) – Southern Cone is to identify, develop and manage partner relationships in market. You will have an inherent understanding of partnership marketing strategy and will deliver partnerships from the idea generation, through to negotiation, securing final agreements, delivering signed contracts and leveraging the ongoing relationship with the partner for the benefit of the Group.

You will be working within a global team to build partnerships and source deals with retailers, restaurants, spas and other services in airports to support our Airport Experience programs (including Priority Pass, our premium lifestyle brand and the world's largest airport lounge access program) as well as other Group opportunities.

You will be expected to understand the Group's businesses and competitive marketplace, identifying new opportunities to deliver successful, best in class partnerships to support other Group opportunities as required.

The role will primarily be focused on the Brazil market, but will also have additional focus of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and others, managing a portfolio of 50+ partners in some of the fastest growing markets in the region.

  • Increase the size and quality of our Partnership Network, ensuring exclusive terms
  • Strengthen current relationships with partners
  • Develop new relationships with partners
  • Market Awareness
  • Regularly investigate and report on competitive landscape and new trends
  • Obtain and share market insight
  • Group support
  • Liaise with other key Group stakeholders to provide support to Group clients
  • Support the development of new product bundles to ensure the product offer is compelling to the customer and can be delivered profitably.

Knowledge

  • Inherent understanding of partnership marketing strategies and benefits
  • Ahead of industry trends and partnership insights, particularly in Airport and Travel sectors.
  • A sound geographical knowledge and understanding of international travel patterns

Skills

  • Great negotiator
  • Must be multi-lingual with fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and work to strict deadlines
  • Proven ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good relationship development skills and a team player
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proactive, assertive and ability to use initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail to deliver work of a high quality standard
  • Appreciation of managing stakeholder expectations
  • Prior experience using Salesforce.com, an advantage
  • Willingness to travel as required (Domestic and International) – 20-30% or more

Experience

  • 5+ years in an account/ supplier management experience ideally in a commercial role
  • Must demonstrate strong negotiation and commercial experience in last 2 roles
  • A previous role within travel and/or airport retail sectors desired
  • Track record of introducing new products/partnerships on budget and on time
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus

Way of working

We are working in a hybrid mode going to the office 1 or 2 times a week. The office is at Av. Angélica close to the Av. Paulista, in São Paulo. So the candidate must have easy access to it.
